Plant for the purification of surface water contaminated with arsenic and organic cyanotoxins produced by Planktothrix rubescens. Serving a municipal aqueduct.
Technology used
Thesystem consists of a chemical-physical treatment section and a filtration section.
The chemical-physical compartment consists of a reaction tank in which the raw water comes into contact with the flocculant.
The water then reaches two lamellar settlers where the precipitation of the flakes and the formation of the sludge takes place, while the clarified water is stored and sent back to the filters.
The filtration section consists of 4 units of multi-layer quartzite filters, 2 granular activated charcoal filters and 2 dearsenification filters filled with ferric hydroxide.
