Adaptation and enhancement of the Grottarossa plant for the purification of the water of the Tiber River.
Technology used
The project forms part of the activities implemented by the City of Rome to deal with the water emergency in the City.
It is an activated charcoal filtration system consisting of 32 filters arranged in eight four-unit structures capable of treating water taken from the Tiber River in order to obtain approximately 500 l/s of drinking water.
