Acquarossa

Biological waste water purification plant using phytopurification serving an industrial complex.

Technology used

The system consists of a mechanical grate, a lifting station, equalisation with a submerged mixer and two phyto-purification basins. The first operates via flooding, while the second works with vertical flow. There is water recirculation between the two basins and between the basins and the equalisation.
Theplant was built by digging the basins out of the ground. These tanks are coated with special geo-tissue and water distribution and recirculation pipes have been installed. The layers of gravel and silicon material were then laid. Thesystem is managed by a general Q.E with integrated PLC.
